Was absolutely gutted when i read the news that Hackney council had finally went ahead with plans to demolish The Foundry. I only visited a couple of times but i adored this place and it was so much more than a pub - it was a fundamental component in the London underground art and poetry scene. Oh well, at least it's got the Astoria for company in building heaven.
